Tuition & Costs

As you look into college options, perhaps at Avila University, there’s a lot of information to wade through. From learning about entrance requirements, English proficiency, health insurance, and making sense of tuition costs, it’s a lot. You’re not alone in feeling overwhelmed. but we’re here to help.

First, how much will your degree cost?

Once you’ve applied and been accepted at Avila, you’ll need to make a nonrefundable deposit to hold your place. Graduate deposit = $5,000; Undergraduate deposit = $8,000. Your deposit will be applied toward your first-semester tuition amount.

Next, what will it cost to live on campus?

Living on campus is the easiest way to quickly become a part of the Avila community and make friends.  Avila offers four air-conditioned residence halls–Ridgway Hall, Carondelet Hall, Thompson Hall, and Wylie Hall.

Avila’s residence halls are on campus and open all year, including holidays.  Living on campus gives you easy access to your classrooms, the library, and computer labs. You will also be able to participate in many campus activities such as plays, concerts, movies, sports events, and special performances, all of which are available to you for FREE!

The many benefits of living in the residence halls include:

Everyone who lives in the residence halls also has a meal plan for Avila’s cafeteria.

International students are also required to carry health insurance.

All full-time students on an F-1 Visa at Avila University are REQUIRED to take Avila’s health insurance. This is for your protection as the American healthcare system differs from your country’s. Students will be charged for health insurance on their Avila bill.

Students in OPT can enroll for insurance at the same rate.

This insurance is REQUIRED for all full-time international students (F-1 Visa), even for students doing OPT. No other insurance, including insurance from your home country, will be accepted.
